A valuable insight from Chris Brogan. His latest blog, written from a business perspective, is instructive for nonprofits as well.

He was down, not succeeding, harboring a slight feeling of desperation. He needed action, revenue, a deal. And so he took on some work that didn't work. In hindsight, he realized that it can be better to walk away from a deal, especially when you really need one.

For nonprofits, we encounter those that want a deal: donors, volunteers, influencers. We ultimately decide if we compromise our values; take it or leave it...
